2010 John Lingenfelter Geriatric Research Scholarship

The mission of the Arizona Geriatrics Society (AzGS) is to advance health care for older Arizonans by supporting the development of professionals in geriatrics and gerontology committed to improving and  developing healthcare best practices for older adults.  As part of this mission, AzGS is pleased to continue the Dr. John G. Lingenfelter Geriatrics Research Scholarship  for young investigators (physicians, nurses, social workers, etc.) and students enrolled in graduate education in Arizona to assist in completing research focused on the care of older adults.  Qualified candidates must complete a brief online application and demonstrate that research can be completed in a timely manner and presented at a future AzGS Fall Symposium.

 

To be eligible for the Lingenfelter Research Scholarship, you must be currently be practicing in Arizona or  enrolled in a State-approved graduate program leading to medical degree, advanced nursing degree, masters in social work or other graduate health related profession with an emphasis in geriatrics.


Award: 
One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded at the 2010 Annual Fall Symposium with the funds being used to support a research project that focus on geriatrics or gerontology. 

Deadline:  All Scholarship Applications must be submitted no  later than October 15th
