CAREGIVER FORUMS

The Arizona Geriatrics Society is committed to providing educational opportunities for healthcare professionals in Arizona through its educational programs and the AzGS Journal. However, we recognize the need to provide informational support to family caregivers. As a result, in June 2007 with grant from the Area Agency on Aging, Region One (AAA), AzGS inaugurated its first series of Caregiver Forums -- presentations by physicians and nurse practitioners to deliver medical recommendations to caregivers.

The intent of these Forums is to help caregivers feel more confident about caring for their loved ones by increasing their knowledge and understanding of medical issues.  These Forums are offered free of charge.  In 2009, AzGS will host the three Caregiver Forums for family and professional caregivers listed below.
